Whenever a couple plans something ‘a little different’ for their wedding, you know it’s going to be unique. And unique weddings are the most special. Like when Erik + Kirsten decided to get married in her parents’ yard in the Black Hills – unique, special and meaningful!!

I loooooove ‘little people and big trees’ and Kirsten’s parents’ yard was perfect for just that!!

First kiss followed by a high five! These two are just too much fun. :-)

Erik + Kirsten – Thank you so much for putting together the most chill wedding! The ‘GoodTinks’ will always hold a special place in my heart – you guys are the best! :-)

Trevor + Kerry’s Rapid City wedding was the definition of classic. You just can’t go wrong with gray suits, navy dresses, lace, pearls and peonies! 

First looks get me EVERY TIME!!! If you’re planning your wedding and you’re not sure if you want to see each other before the wedding, here are the main two reasons I suggest doing a first look.

1. Seeing each other reduces stress, and it gives you a few moments of alone time on your wedding day.
2. Pictures will be done before the wedding, so after the ceremony, the only thing left to do is celebrate!!

Location, flowers and decorations can make a wedding beautiful, but what makes a wedding memorable are the people who come to share it with the bride and groom. Matt + Katie’s wedding was equally beautiful and meaningful. As they visited with each table at their reception, they smiled and laughed with each group, and you could tell how thankful they were to enjoy this special day together.

Matt + Katie, Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your sweet and fun wedding. It’s obvious how much your friends + family love you, and I think that says a lot about you and the marriage you are just beginning. You are really, truly very blessed. :-)

When a wedding has ten attendants for each the bride and groom and the colors are pink and GLITTER, you know it’s going to be a party. A very pretty party. :-)

Fernie + Shantell – Thank you for bringing your amazing selves and friends + family to South Dakota for your wedding!!! I wish we could do this every single weekend! :-)

Bobby + Lindsay ventured over from East River to have their engagement photos done in the beautiful Black Hills, where they will also be having their wedding this November! By that decision alone, I can tell you that they are two of the smartest people from Sioux Falls that I know. ;-) Also, they’re pretty great in front of a camera. The way they snuggle is like a puzzle – they fit together just perfectly! 

Bobby + Lindsay – Thanks so much for traveling out here for your engagement photos! It might sound like I’m wishing the summer away (which I kind of am – one day in the 80’s and I’m already melting), but your November wedding can’t come soon enough!!!
