hannah class of 2013

Another year, another group of high school graduates!! My passion for photography is mostly for weddings, but I do enjoy a senior portrait session every now and then – kinda like a stress reliever. :-)

You might recognize Hannah – she’s been helping me with a few weddings here in the Black Hills and now it’s finally her turn in front of my camera! I just couldn’t wait until this summer to photograph Hannah – so we decided to do a mini session this weekend!!

Here are my top favorites, but be on the lookout later this summer for more of Hannah’s beautiful face! :-)

heather class of 2012

My TENTH senior of the year and I’m STILL finding fun, new places to photograph!! Heather came down to Rapid last week and we had fun chatting about her horses, puppy and future college plans. :-) I hope you enjoy my favorites!

miranda class of 2012

Plans to take Miranda’s senior portraits have been in the works for about a year, so I was SO excited when the day finally came to meet up!! We started in town to get some beautiful green/fall foliage and then out to the rock maze we went!! I didn’t realize how much hiking would be involved (I would have worn different shoes other than flip flops), but I think the images we got out there were TOTALLY worth it!!

Thanks, Miranda for the workout and for picking such an awesome spot for your photos! I had a fun time chillin’ with you and Nan, and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!

molly class of 2012

I met Molly earlier this summer at her sister Laura’s wedding and I was SO excited when her mom told me they were going to drive all the way across the state for me to take her senior portraits!! Molly is SUCH a beautiful girl, I felt like I wasn’t even working! With that naturally blonde hair, bright blue eyes and a smile on the verge of giggles, I was having so much fun!

Molly, I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do – I had a hard time narrowing them down! And thanks, Terri for driving so far to make this session happen. It was great seeing you both again, and I’m glad I was able to give you an excuse to not carry moving boxes all weekend. :-)

courtney class of 2012

When Courtney first contacted me about taking her senior portraits, she mentioned wanting to do them towards the end of September so she could wear summery dresses without being too cold as well as fall-ish outfits without being too hot. We didn’t plan on it being 90 degrees on the day we scheduled the session…

Still, I think she did a wonderful job of capturing both summer and fall with her outfits. And how lucky am I to keep getting such stylish senior girls?? Seriously, I was NEVER this cute in high school (or ever, for that matter…)!! And ALL these images were taken at one. person’s. yard. I plan on moving in with them later this week. :-)

Courtney, thanks so much for having such wonderful style and being such a beautiful model! And Carla, thanks for your ”behind’ the scenes’ help. ;-)
