wedding albums!! and parent copies!!

All of my wedding collections include an album. If the parents of the couple want, they can order a duplicate copy of the wedding album in a smaller size for themselves at a reduced rate.

Here’s what the leather cover looks like with a blind emboss:

The difference in size between the 8×8 parent copy and the 10×10 couple’s album.

Same page thickness, just a different size album!

My favorite part:

Seriously, isn’t it so cool to have this on the outside of the box?! Maybe I’m a bit biased…

blog cards!!

For all of my weddings, I make blog cards. ‘What are blog cards?’ you ask. Blog cards are the same size as business cards with your engagement photo on the front and an invitation to your guests to view your wedding photos on my blog!

Here are the front sides of the cards of all my couples up to next weekend (except for Bryce + Brittany – I forgot to take one so if anyone out there has an extra card, please send it my way!! :-))

The back of the card has my website! I know some photographers put the password to the gallery on the backs of their cards, but I am done editing each wedding by the following week…usually when the couple is still on their honeymoon, away from the internet. So instead of ALL the guests seeing the wedding photos before the couple does, I just invite them to look at the blog for the preview, and then when the couple gets back from their honeymoon, they get to be the first ones to log into their gallery and see all their wedding photos!

From there, it’s up to the couple to email out the password to everyone. UNLESS you have this genius idea like Ryan + Annalee… make password cards to send out with all your thank-yous!!! :-)

If any of my couples are reading this, and you’re still working on your thank-yous, let me know if you’re interested in getting these cards!! They’re free!! Just let me know how many you need!!

wedding albums!!

Some of you might not know this, but when you hire me for your wedding, you get everything. Ev.ry.thing.

All collections include an engagement session, lots of hours of wedding coverage, mileage, a DVD of images, print credit, and (my favorite) the wedding album. I did a lot of research online and checked out all their booths at WPPI in March and I decided to switch over to Leather Craftsmen. They are beyond wonderful. They have a ton of options for album covers (click on cover treatments on the front page to view them all) plus they offer ‘Companion Albums’ which are perfect for parents and grandparents. When I order the main 10×10 or 12×12 album for my clients, I have the option to duplicate the album as an 8×8 at a lower cost which I then pass that discount on to my couples’ parents!

Dave + Kendra’s album was the first to come back from the lab and I just had to take a few snapshots to show it off before I put it in the mail! They picked the Japanese Book Cloth in Endive. I love leather albums, but the Japanese Book Cloth is sooooo luxurious!! It’s like a silky, shimmery textured fabric. And it will more than likely be on my wedding album… *someday.*

I wanted to do a blind imprint of their names, but apparently that doesn’t work with this fabric. So we chose white lettering and it turned out so pretty!!

Everything is so amazing about this album!! I love the thickness of the pages and how the spine folds flat. Pure genius, I tell ya!

The pages lay flat with just a teeny-tiny split down the middle.

And the REALLY cool part about this album? My logo is stamped on the inside back cover. LOVE IT!!

Dave + Kendra, your album should be arriving shortly!!!

Have a great weekend everyone! I’m off for a double-wedding weekend! I can’t wait to show you photos next week!!
